Serious Mold Injury Happened to Me

MY PAST: Unaware of how serious the health risks were, serious Mold exposures over time, took me from being a lifelong healthy person, to becoming seriously sickened and having to spend nearly $30,000 on medical bills to help recover my health. During this, I learned that spending money on a Mold Assessment (inspection) by an Assessor with a broader knowledge of related Indoor Air Quality concerns can be critical to learn the concerns and actions necessary to prevent or reduce serious mold consequences.

I also learned how some of the more serious mold mycotoxin health damage may build up over time and take time to become recognized. I learned most doctors do not have the expertise to properly diagnose and treat what was causing my increasingly serious symptoms. In my case, it reached the point of “something serious … perhaps Leukemia”. (And my symptoms were not nearly as serious as others I have met and learned about.)

Fortunately I went to a very advanced doctor who was an expert in mold and mold-mycotoxin illnesses. Unlike most doctors, she knew how to properly test for and evaluate mold-mycotoxin exposure. Through a series of intense and powerful IV and other cleansing/ healing treatments, she was able to dramatically improve my badly compromised immune system, red and white blood cell damage, and other serious health issues over the initial weeks and months … and put me on a path to recovery.

Along the way, I learned that even New or “Pristine-looking” homes and offices can have really bad invisible problems in the air.

Now I want to help others learn if their home or business has significant Mold / IAQ issues (Indoor Air Quality). And if so, help them recover wisely.

This can be FAR cheaper than letting mold, health damage, and house or building damage get worse. Especially since un-mitigated Mold growth and its spores tend to Spread, Build-up, and increase in their Damage and Health Risks. Often the primary mold-source areas are partially or fully hidden.

While helping protect others and working on my own recovery, I have met dozens of Mold experts, and super-experts, including Mold Medical experts. This includes people that founded Labs, Invented mold products, and led International Teams to research and set mold and moisture standards. It includes very special Mold Medical experts who know how to diagnose, treat, and advise regarding serious mold related illness that can sicken, damage, disable, or even worse.

Experts that understand the all-to-common subset of Molds that produce serious mycotoxins, have been especially valuable in my journey to recover my health and now help protect others.

Mold Mycotoxins are Chemical poisons that are produced by a subset of molds. These include molds that are commonly found in water/moisture damage situations. Some Mycotoxins last for years … on surfaces, and in a person’s body. Often mycotoxins are not easily “destroyed” or eliminated.

I wish that back then, I had known I was repeatedly in areas where serious protections were needed —- sometimes ones like I am wearing above.

I am a Certified Mold Assessor (CMA), Certified Mold Remediator (CMR), NORMI Certified Biotoxin Assessor (NCBA), NORMI Certified Remediator for Sensitized Individuals (NCRSI), Certified Mold Inspector (CMI), and University of Arkansas graduate, with an MBA from the University of Tulsa.

This includes my membership in NORMI (National Organization for Remediators and Microbial Inspectors) and MICRO. NORMI is one of the largest and I believe, the most advanced training and support organizations for Mold Inspectors in the world. NORMI’s training/certifications are recognized by the strictest state regulations, and some states specifically recommend NORMI Assessors (inspectors).
